Privacy Policy

Marusho Denki (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us”) operates our business to contribute to the local community and to be a company that is trusted by our customers. In today’s society, we recognize that personally identifiable information (hereinafter referred to as “personal information”) is important and critical information for our customers and should be handled appropriately.

We believe that it is our social responsibility in this day and age to properly manage and protect the important information entrusted to us by our customers, and in order to ensure the appropriate management and operation of such information, we have established the following privacy policy and will strive to handle it accordingly.

We will comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and other related laws and regulations.
We will establish a management system for the protection of personal information and ensure that all employees comply with our rules and regulations.
The Company will handle personal information within the scope of the purposes of use clearly indicated to the customer.
We will not disclose or provide personal information provided by customers to third parties, except with the consent of the customer or with justifiable cause.
We will respond sincerely and promptly to inquiries from customers concerning personal information and requests for disclosure, etc.

Purpose of use of personal information

We will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases

When the consent of the customer has been obtained
When required by law
When we outsource our business to a subcontractor (in this case, please refer to the next section “Deposition of Personal Information”).

Outsourcing of personal information

In order to provide better service to our customers, we may outsource a part of our business to a third party and may entrust personal information to that third party.
In this case, we will select a subcontractor that is deemed to handle personal information appropriately, and will have the subcontractor implement appropriate management of personal information by stipulating in contracts and other agreements the matters necessary to prevent the leakage of customers’ personal information through appropriate management, confidentiality, and other measures.

Disclosure, updating, etc. of personal information

We will disclose, correct, or delete personal information entrusted to us by our customers to the extent reasonable upon request of the customer himself/herself.
However, this does not apply when there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other interests of other customers, or when it is deemed to be a significant hindrance to the Company’s business operations.
In addition, when required by laws and regulations, we will take appropriate measures in accordance with such laws and regulations.
